BAM collaborates with SCB Academy to exchange innovations and create skill development courses for digital workforce.

                   SCB Academy, Siam Commercial Bank, and Bangkok Commercial Asset Management Public Company Limited or BAM jointly signed a Memorandum of Understanding on business cooperation to drive digital workforce skill development. The cooperation is to lay out curriculums to drive the development of digital workforce skills in order to prepare the workforce to work in the future world, which is in line with BAM's goal of becoming a data driven organization.

          Mr. Choopong Phokasawadi, the Senior Executive Vice President, Bangkok and Vicinity Loan Restructuring and Sales Group 1 of Bangkok Commercial Asset Management Public Company Limited, stated: “BAM has formulated plans to develop knowledge and increase work skills for employees at all levels. This will enable them to be ready to adjust to the right direction that is in line with business operations under various constantly changing factors, including new technologies and business practices in different ways of life. The SCB Academy group will help support new ways of learning, exchanging of innovations, and designing curriculums to drive digital skill development and other courses that are beneficial to BAM employees to enhance their managerial and work abilities. The contents from such curriculums and courses will be used as guidelines and completely applied to the current work processes to enable new ways of work to achieve success and prepare us for work in the future world, moving towards the goal of being a data-driven organization.”

          Mr. Wisanu Sricharoen, the Head of Transformation SCB Academy, Siam Commercial Bank Public Company Limited, said: “SCB Academy places importance on innovation and digitalization by collaborating with various partners and has broadened our learning platforms to foster innovations in learning and digital education.           Mr. Sricharoen further added: “For skill development courses for BAM’s employees, SCB Academy has employed the pmd47, pmd+, and Leadership Development programs in developing their digital skills. As for pmd47 program, it consists of: 1) Discover Me – find yourself in the future, what kind of job is right for you?; 2) Dare to Dream - dare to dream by setting goals, walking towards the destination, and being ready to learn the learning techniques 10X faster (ten times); 3) The Foundation & The New Arena – basic knowledge for the digital age and the New Normal; 4) Human Centered Everything – skills in customer centricity and in creating good value for customers; 5) Demystify Data – utilize data to create value in work and business, including digital marketing (marketing with data); 6) Lean on Me & Agile at Heart – learn a new way of working which emphasizes agility, flexibility, speed, and continuous improvement; and 7) Growth Hacking and Bring It All Together – apply various skills to the start-up formulating process and learn strategic techniques that can generate rapid business growth. The next program, pmd+, consists of: 1) Data Analytics/Data Science Essentials – fundamental data analysis as well as driving and adding value to organizations and businesses with data; 2) Think big start small: Move forward to data driven organization – use of data to become a data-driven organization; 3) Data Driven Organization – data is used in the daily life and also helps bring the truth to us; 4) Introduction to Lean – lean work process that makes the work process more efficient; and 5) Getting Started with Agile – an agile work process that will help employees work faster by reducing work steps and focusing more on team communication. Finally, the Leadership Development Program, the Learn to Lead (L2L) course, an executive-level course that suits executives who would like to develop management skills, manage a team, and be able to effectively manage the People Manager role by confidently starting to take important steps with the right mindset, skillset, and toolset that meet the needs and can be used in real life. This course is conducted through blended learning method that includes both self-learning through micro-learning and virtual group reflection. Executives will be able to share and learn the role of People Manager through experiences from classmates and facilitators.
