BAM organizes a booth at the Debt Relief Fair which has the concept that ‘debt problems must be resolved with a sustainable restart’. This is to help debtors return to their normal economic situation. The emphasis is on solutions to debt problems in order to reach a mutual agreement with lenient conditions and ability to pay off debt being primarily considered. Also, in this event, BAM offers a selection of quality assets in good locations with deep discounts for customers to choose from. There are houses, land, condos, and investment properties, with a maximum discount of more than 70%, where the right of ownership must be transferred within 30 days only. The right of ownership transfer fees can be waived up to 900,000 baht/transaction.
Mr. Bundit Anantamongkol, the CEO of Bangkok Commercial Asset Management Public Company Limited or BAM, stated: “BAM holds a booth and participates in the Debt Relief Fair, with the concept that ‘debt problems must be resolved with a sustainable restart’, organized by the Ministry of Finance in collaboration with the Bank of Thailand through the support of the Government Financial Institutions Association (GFA) between November 4-6, 2022 at the Impact Exhibition Hall 5, Muang Thong Thani to help BAM debtors return to their normal economic situation with lenient conditions through various relief programs including:
• Happy to Have Your Home Back Project in which debtors can repay their debt at the rate of 80% of the appraised value by BAM and can choose to pay one time within 90 days or pay in installments up to 20 years but within the enforcement period;
• BAM Revitalizes Your SME Businesses Project in which debtors can repay their debt at the rate of 80% of the appraised value by BAM and can choose to pay one time within 90 days or pay in installments up to 10 years within the enforcement period; and
• BAM Helps Farmers Resolve Debts Project in which debtors can repay their debt at the rate of 80% of the appraised value by BAM but not more than 100% of the principal balance and can choose to pay one time within 90 days or pay in installments up to 10 years within the enforcement period.”
Mr. Anantamongkol further added: “For resolving debt problems, BAM focuses on compromising debts on a collaborative basis and finding a solution that benefits both parties mainly based on the ability to repay debts. Debt management guidelines and negotiation criteria are set to suit each debtor, and BAM gives debtors the opportunity to settle their debts with BAM no matter which phase they are in to get a speedy debt settlement.”
Mr. Anantamongkol also stated: “At this Debt Relief Fair, BAM also offers properties for sale to customers at our booth as between October 25 - November 25, 2022, BAM organizes an important annual campaign to reduce prices of properties for sale under the name "BAM SUPER GRAND SALE" with prices of more than 2,000 special price properties across the country being discounted up to 70%. The properties for sale include houses, vacant land, condominiums, and commercial buildings. Customers who buy properties from the aforementioned campaign must transfer the right of ownership within 30 days only and can be exempt from the right of ownership transfer fee up to 900,000 baht/transaction.”
