BAM has launched “Baan Suan Sook Jai by BAM” project (Happy Garden House by BAM) in San Kamphaeng District, Chiang Mai Province, offering a new way of living, within nature and in a perfect environment for the retired and nature lovers. The project also includes the idea of a rural lifestyle in an urban society, with which technology is properly integrated, and the emphasis on energy conservation. With regard to this project, BAM has selected about 3,500 suitable items of plots of vacant land and detached houses which buyers can purchase. Also, interested buyers can visit the project’s model units located in Bangkok and other provinces. The sales target from the project is 450 million baht.
Today (May 25, 2018) at 10.00 a.m., Mrs. Tongurai Limpiti, the Chairman of the Board of Directors of Bangkok Commercial Asset Management Public Company Limited or BAM, presided over the official opening ceremony of the Baan Suan Sook Jai by BAM project, together with Mr. Bunyong Visatemongkolchai, the Acting President of BAM, and the management team in San Kamphaeng District, Chiang Mai Province.
Mrs. Thongurai Limpiti stated that Thailand is currently becoming an aging society, and the retired living in cities, those who are near retirement age, and a number of people have a desire to live a simple life, which poses no hectic and competitive lifestyle and gives them the opportunity to be close to nature and in a pleasant environment, or in other words, to get back to nature. Nevertheless, for people in cities, a need for technology to facilitate their living still exists. BAM, therefore, initiated the Baan Suan Sook Jai by BAM project which offers a new way of living, which can be called “a rural lifestyle in an urban society”, as an alternative for those who desire to live close to nature.
The Baan Suan Sook Jai by BAM project is the concept of building housing by harmoniously integrating organic agriculture which focuses on health and is environmentally friendly with various types of technology. The project, as a result, defines living in a simple garden house in which utilities and facilities are available and can be conveniently operated through the use of modern technology, making individuals live happily in a shady natural environment of a comfortable garden house.
At the same time, a 3S management system, one of the facilities, has also been included. The 3S management system or Smart Home, Smart Farm, and Smart Energy that will be operated in houses from the Baan Suan Sook Jai by BAM project will focus on the safety of the elderly. It also covers a CCTV system which can be monitored through a smartphone screen. Moreover, via a smartphone, lights can be turned on and off automatically when one is in the house and the time for air-conditioner can be controlled.
In addition, Baan Suan Sook Jai by BAM project focuses on energy conservation by using solar energy through solar-powered photovoltaic (PV) panels as a source of energy for switching on and off a water pump which is used for watering vegetables and herbs in the garden. As for this modern system, a house owner can easily set the time for turning on or off the water pump via his smartphone or tablet using the internet. This, therefore, creates convenience of living.
Mr. Bunyong Visatemongkolchai, the Acting President of BAM, said that the Baan Suan Sook Jai by BAM project consists of two components. The first part is the area for living which encompasses a house with an area of 60 - 70 sq. m., including a bedroom and a living room, in which there are energy-saving tools, sufficient facilities, and areas for relaxations surrounding it. Another component is the garden which consists of a pond, for aquaculture and planting, from where there is an irrigation system for agriculture. This second part includes animal husbandry such as chicken and an area for plants including garden plants, perennial plants, and fruit trees, with emphasis on new ways of cultivation, for example, growing vegetables hydroponically, a mushroom house, etc.
Besides a model unit located in San Kamphaeng District, Chiang Mai, interested buyers can visit other model units of Baan Suan Sook Jai by BAM project in Mountain View Khao Yai project, in Muang Ake Rangsit project, Pathum Thani Province which has been launched in March 2018, and at 24 regional offices nationwide.
