BAM has launched “Sabai Condo” project putting up more than 2,000 affordable condominium units for sale claiming to be cheaper to buy than rent. Price starts only at around 1,000-3,000 baht per month. The project aims to help buyers with limited financial support offering special promotion within the course of the project, from May 1 to June 15, 2017.
Mr. Somporn Moonsrikaew, BAM’s senior executive vice president, stated that during May 1-June 15, 2017 the company has launched “Sabai Condo” putting up more than 2,000 condominium units from over 50 projects for sale. The project targets at low-income earners as the average price is under 400,000 baht. In addition, BAM provides special deal to any purchase less than 400,000 baht (installment plan) with only 1,000-baht deposit and another 1,000-baht initial payment before moving in. The installment starts only at 1,000 and up to 3,000 baht per month depending on the property price, and the plan is up to 10 years. If customers pay by cash or obtain loan from other financial institutions with the price less than 2 million baht, they will be offered free transfer fee (special discounted items not excluded).
The Sabai Condo project aims to help those who have limited access to financial institutions to have their own residence, as they normally pay approximately between 1,500 and 3,000 baht per month for rent. The target group is considered to be tenants of the projects, freelancers, the self-employed, taxi drivers, the motorcycle services, and the office employees with the salary between 10,000-20,000 baht per month, or 3,000-4,000 baht of income. However, customers must have clear evidence of their sources of income or reliable workplace. This project has set the sales goal at no less than 100 million baht.
