BAM Condominium Expo meet customers’ requirement with more than 100 units reserved in one week

BAM arranged BAM Condominium Expo for the whole month of May 2013 by presenting more than 1,800 units of the condominiums in good locations for sales in public price with special offers. More than 100 units were bought since the first week. Thus, from 2012 to 2013 could be indicated as the golden year of condominium market.

Mr. Krit Sesavej, the President of Bangkok Commercial Asset Management Co.,Ltd. (BAM) revealed that BAM Condominium Festival; which was held from May 1 to May 31, 2013 by selecting many condominiums in good locations, with varied price levels from 100,000 baht to 1,000,000 baht; had offered the campaign for both cash payment and installment payment to customers. The customers who paid by cash would be waived the transferring ownership fee and got the voucher valued at 5,000 baht. The installment payment was based on 0% interest for 6 month-period, then after that, the interest was at MLR. There were more than 2,000 customers phoned in and more than 1,000 customers went to the showroom for asking about the information of condominiums sold in the festival. In the first week, there were more than 100 units’ reservations.

Mr. Krit provided more details that the festival could support customers’ requirements of buying condominiums very well, especially the customers who got low income. For example, buying Platong condominium with the price only 100,000 baht onwards, the installment payment at only 35 baht per day was less than rental fee. In addition, there were also the other condominiums in many locations such as Pathum Thani, Lamlukka, Bangna, and Ladprao. BAM had expected to sale the condominium in the BAM Condominium Expo in May 2013 and following up in June 2013 at around 200 units. However, BAM had also joined the Home & Condo Expo at Queen Sirikit National Convention Center (QSNCC) during May 9 – 12, 2013 by representing more than 2,000 items of properties for sale, total amount around 4,000 million baht. The sales from the festival at QSNCC were 275 million baht, compared to the target of 200 million baht.

The President of BAM said that BAM has planned for the second half of 2013 to do the active marketing strategy continuously by arranging the bidding of non-performing assets in June 2013with the value higher than 30 million baht onwards for 12 items, then the total values are 2,886,420,000 baht. For the first bidding in March 2013, there were 22 items in the bidding and received the value of 321,614,999 baht based on the target of 300 million baht.

Mr. Krit considered that the good year of condominium market has started from 2012 and continued to 2013, caused by increasing in requirement of high living building. Thus, sellers continuously launched the new projects to serve the requirement and purchasing power of consumers, especially the condominium near sky train route or in community area which have comfortable transportation. In addition, since the cost of land, labor, and construction materials tended to be increased, then the selling price of new condominium likely to be increased. As a result, the second-hand condominium is a good choice of buyers.
