BAM celebrated its 15th Anniversary by giving out 99 prizes to its customers. BAM is ready to be one of the best asset management companies in Thailand. In the past 11 months, BAM yielded revenues from debt restructuring and selling of properties for sale of 15,669 million baht, which is 114.08% of its target (13,735 million baht).
On 19 December 2013, BAM President Mr.Krit Sesavej drew the prizes at BAM’s 15th Anniversary Lucky Draw event. The prizes were for customers who bought BAM’s assets in 2013, as a way of returning a favour. There were 99 prizes. There were two first prizes of a Suzuki Swift. The second prizes were South Korea tour packages, of which there were six. The third prizes were two baht of gold, of which there were four. There were 14 Yamaha Fino motorcycles for those who won fourth prize, five PTT Cash Cards worth 20,000 baht each for fifth, and 68 Tesco Lotus gift vouchers worth 5,000 baht each for the sixth prize. Thai celebrities Jetsadaporn Pholdee and Pichetchai Pholdee helped draw the prizes and witness the event at 17th floor of BAM’s headquarters (99 Surasak Road Silom Bangrak, Bangkok).
BAM was established in 1998 under the government’s policy of rehabilitating and developing financial institutions to manage Non-Performing Loans and Non-Performing Assets. BAM helps debtors, financial institutions and property businesses by developing potential NPAs into attractive assets in the market. BAM offers its professional services in managing NPLs and NPAs to every financial institution. BAM aims to be one of the best asset management companies in Thailand.
As of November 2013, BAM has 53,694 NPLs under its management worth 388,385 million baht and 11,624 NPAs worth 37,352 million baht. This year BAM has held many marketing activities including three Good Assets in Great Locations auctions (on 29 March, 27 June and 12 November, 2013). Ten assets were sold in those auctions, which raised 1,663,668,110 baht in revenue, exceeding the target by 1,100 million baht. BAM also arranged booths in many real estate exhibitions in 2013, raising 2,141.21 million baht in revenue.
In addition, the 11-month performance (January-November 2013) is considered satisfactory. The total cash collection is 15,669 million baht, or 114.08% of the target (13,735 million baht).
